In Vivo Dosimetry is used to control the total accumulated dose in case where treatment planning is less accurate, e.g. in total body irradiation (TBI), in build-up region and in risk organs in the head and neck region. In several European countries In Vivo Dosimetry has become mandatory, based on the directive “Medical Exposure Directive 97/43/Euratom”, which recommends that In Vivo Dosimetry is performed.
COMPASS is a solution to increase the precision and safety of the individual patient treatment. Used for pre-treatment and treatment monitoring as well as verification it provides truly independent analysis of the planned treatment and dose delivered to the patient. Based on a 2D transmission detector (comprised of 1600 air vented pixel ionization chambers) measurement, COMPASS then performs a dose reconstruction. It displays the 3D dose distribution in the patient anatomy, comparing it to the TPS in terms of DVHs, 3D gamma and other quantitative means.
The DPD-3 In Vivo patient dosemeter for verification of the delivered dose is a stand alone 3-channel electrometer system. Two of the channels are used for photon and electron energies, the third for risk organ monitoring. The device can handle a variety of treatment situations such as entrance and exit dose, risk organ monitoring and intracavitary dosimetry in brachytherapy.
DPD-12pc is an accurate and versatile In Vivo patient dosimetry system for verification of the treatment and the delivered dose to the patient. It consists of two products: the DPD-12 channel electrometer and the DPDpc application software, which is an alternative to the OmniPro-InViDos software.
OmniPro-InViDos is a fast and efficient management system for all tasks of In Vivo Dosimetry. It gives the user an overview of the calibration and provides tools to perform calibration in an efficient way. Furthermore, instruments for improving treatment accuracy whilst reducing the time spent for In Vivo Dosimetry are provided.
Additionally, Scanditronix Wellhöfer offers a temperature calibration phantom for easy calibration of 3G-pSi detectors at skin temperature.
